OC Connections Partnership
Traffic Diversions Group (TDG) are pleased to be part of this exciting and unique opportunity by supporting OCC Enterprises (OCCE), the employment division of OC Connections, a disability services provider based in south-east Melbourne, to bring to market Australia’s first locally manufactured t-top traffic bollard made by a Social Traders certified social enterprise, using recycled bollards and locally sourced recycled plastics.
The OC Eco T-Top Bollard delivers a circular economy model by diverting damaged and end-of-life bollards from landfill, the recovered bollards are then recycled using local recyclers and the recycled material used to locally manufacture new bollards. In doing so, the OC Eco T-Top Bollard reduces virgin plastics going to landfill, creates ongoing and meaningful work for people living with disability, while stimulating the local economy by using locally supply chain partners and creating local jobs.
TDG’s State Manager Ross Deacon, Business Development Manager Anthony Simmons and Social Procurement Manager Kylie Graham recently delivered some bollards for recycling and had the opportunity to see how the process works through to an amazing finished product. Thank you to Steve Betinsky, OC Connections General Manager - Employment & Enterprises, as well as Belinda and Daniel for this experience.
We are certainly looking forward to trialing the new OC Eco T-Top Bollard out on our sites!
