Appreciation Post - Ian Gall.

Traffic Diversions Group (TDG) would like to recognise Ian Gall for all his efforts in going above and beyond. Ian started working with TDG five years ago, in 2017, and progressed into operating our Truck Mounted Attenuator’s (TMA) in May 2019 on the freeway network.

TMA’s are designed to safely absorb the kinetic energy of an errant vehicle should it impact it. Ian and all other TMA drivers must have the knowledge and understanding for work crew safety including the correct location, providing suitable shunt-forward distances, adequate warning systems for work crews and travelling public. TMA’s have saved countless lives not only in Victoria, but throughout Australia and all over the world.

Not only does Ian strive to ensure safe operations at all times, he certainly displays integrity and high ethical standards too. Before every shift Ian attends he comes into the depot early to wash and clean his TMA to ensure it is presentable. TDG values this kind of dedication that Ian shows and appreciate Ian continuously stiving to achieve and exceed best practice, which is certainly in line with TDG’s values.

Keep up the great work Ian, its greatly appreciated.
